My name is Alex I am a 23 year old American first mate looking for day work, a permanent position or help with delivery work. I have been running small vessels for ten years and have just under 3 years experience in yachting. I carry a 100 ton license with a commercial assistance towing endorsement. I am currently looking for a permanent mate/bosun/deck position (depending on the vessels size) on a motor yacht, perferrably heading to the Med for the summer. I am an easy going Kiwi with a hard work ethic and fun personality. I have gained good experience as a mate on smaller yachts (80-120ft) and as a deckhand on larger vessels, and also have useful engineering skills and am happy to help out where-ever and when-ever required.

With previous experience as skipper of 7 and 10 day scuba charter vessels I ran as Bosun on a 161' Trinity this past year and am now ready to move up again in the yachts. My background inlcudes running as captain, 1st mate and/or engineer of sail, power and jet drive vessels ranging in size from 60' to 160'. Just finishing 7weeks of classes including GMDSS, Radar, Adv Fire, Survivalcraft, Medical Care Provider. Ready to bring these new certs to your vessel.
